That was the sound that reverberated in the atmosphere, which sent customers running for safety, as a signboard which allegedly belongs to Spar Shopping Mall fell. The signboard fell from the roof of the massive mall building and on about 13 cars. These cars, belonging to the customers of the shopping mall, were damaged by the signboard.
According to the manager of the Shopping mall, Mrs Kemi Daniel, this event took place at about 3pm today (Thursday, 2nd April, 2020).
The manager of the Shopping mall said that the cause of the collapse has not been ascertained, but was grateful to God that no life was lost. She also reveals that the damaged cars would be repaired, the owners provided with mobility until their vehicles are repaired, and also given a compensation.
