Israeli scientists say they have been able to create the world’s first 3D printed heart.

Professor Tal Dvir, who led the project, said the organ was created with a patient’s tissue.

His team at Tel Aviv University plans to transplant the hearts into animals with the hope that it will advance possibilities for human transplants.

He claims that larger human hearts could be produced using the same technology.
