Gambo Sa’idu, a 22-year old man was arrested by the Police command in Jigawa for allegedly beheading his brother Haladu, aged 40 with a cutlass during an argument over cattle.

The suspect told the police that his brother had more cattle than him and this was the source of their argument.

The command Public Relations Officer, SP Audu Jinjiri, explained that the deceased was confirmed dead by a medical doctor in Gwaram General Hospital and that the police had visited the scene of the crime and that the remains of the deceased has since been buried according to Islamic rites

Jinjiri also said that the suspect is also a drug abuser and is suspected to have committed the offence after taking some drug, and that the case would be transferred to the State Criminal, Intelligence and Investigation Department in Dutse, for further investigation
