The Executive Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje has given the sum of N100,000 to each of the corps members attacked by robbers on their way to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp at Kusalla in Karaye local government area of the state.

The Governor made the donation on Friday, March 29, while declaring the compulsory three-week orientation course open in the state.

It was gathered that six corps members deployed to the state for the national service were attacked between Gwarzo and the permanent orientation camp at Kusala Dam, Karaye.

The NYSC coordinator in Kano state, Alhaji Ladan Baba, who confirmed the attack, also congratulated the governor on his re-election, while urging the Corp members to brace up for the activities at the camp.

Ganduje in his speech, admonished the corps members to be agents of unity by promoting peace and harmony in the country.
He said the token was to cushion the effect of the incident on them.

He also assured them of their monthly state allowance of N5,000.
